Project Manager

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to manage a variety of client projects within the agency. In short, the successful Project Manager will…

  • Execute internal agency processes to deliver campaign and project elements on time and on budget, and
  • Facilitate internal account team communication and resources, allowing all disciplines to complete their best work for the client.

The successful candidate will be able to:

Work with an Account Team to create and then execute an effective account plan and/or individual campaign plans:

  • Provide input as requested regarding tactical elements and execution.
  • Provide input on timelines and job-level budgets in the planning process.

Work with the account team and other agency resource teams to deliver creative and other campaign elements:

  • Execute internal workflow processes and ensure that agency resources are effectively utilized and kept on schedule.
  • Gather and organize content and assets developed internally.
  • Track assignments/progress of internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and support SMEs in obtaining resources needed to complete work.
  • Organize and manage internal account meetings.
  • Manage internal review and approval processes.

Manage client budgets in coordination with the Account Manager:

  • Work with Account Manager to establish and track campaign/job budgets.
  • Work with Production Manager and SMEs to develop accurate job estimates.

Proactively develop solutions for client challenges, issues and opportunities.

  • Support agency new business efforts as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or another related field.
  • Familiarity with the advertising, marketing and communication space, including strategic planning and execution.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience preferred but not required.
  • Extreme attention to detail and passion for organization and adherence to process.
  • Desire to work in a team with an ability to diplomatically keep people accountable for various aspects of a process.
  • Knowledge of production timelines and processes a plus.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with project management software a plus.

Digital Project Manager

Penna Powers is an integrated communications agency doing work that matters for a broad list of clients in the Intermountain West. We are seeking a Digital Project Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the planning, documentation and day-to-day management of various digital projects ranging from full-websites to management of existing client sites.

The successful Digital Project Manager will:

  • Be a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help our clients achieve their business objectives.
  • Have excellent time management skills and be very organized.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of web technologies and programming languages.
  • Communicative and collaborate effectively with other agency personnel and clients directly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans including FRDs (functional requirement documents), user personas, wireframes, content tables and UX/UI documentation.
  • Scope project requirements and prepare budget
  • Provide end-to-end project management
  • Collaborate with internal teams as well as clients
  • Manage change orders and mitigate issues during development
  • Deliver projects on time ensuring quality and technical standards are met
  • Monitor and report on Google Analytics metrics
  • Participate in new business efforts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years proven work experience as a Digital Project Manager
  • Hands on experience with the Adobe Design Suite and other digital tools used to create documentation
  • Familiarity with Content Management systems and HTML/CSS
  • Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Communication and team management skills
  • Applicable college education a plus

Executive Assistant

Penna Powers is seeking a mature, deadline-driven, highly-organized and detail-oriented individual that will report to the Agency’s Executive Management team.

In short, the Executive Assistant must

  • Work with multiple managers and effectively prioritize and handle requests.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects with fast-paced deadlines.
  • Demonstrate exceptional planning, organizational, proofreading, writing and formatting skills.
  • Lead processes and work with colleagues who have diverse interpersonal styles.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments and maintain calendar(s)
  • Prepare meeting agendas, organize and compile information and materials
  • Record, compile and distribute meeting notes
  • Drafting and preparing correspondence, memos and reports
  • Internet research
  • Assist with agency New Business efforts, coordinating bid drafts, deadlines, and teams
  • Proofreading proposals and other documents
  • Coordinate leadership events and agency charity program
  • Coordinate strategic business development activities such as tracking action items, managing client/pursuit capture planning efforts, and conducting market research.

Requirements

Account Manager – Salt Lake City

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Continue building upon strong existing relationships with key members of the client team on a few major agency accounts.
  • Effectively manage client relationships with little supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with agency leaders and other members of the internal client team to develop and maintain an overarching account plan, timeline and budget.
  • Work effectively with the account team to implement the plan.
  • Manage client budgets and timelines in coordination with the client team.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or another related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in an Account Management role at an agency.
  • Demonstrated experience crafting account plans, defining budgets and successfully delivering campaigns and executing communication plans for high-profile clients.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to understand and manage power relationships, political considerations and budgetary sensitivities within an organization.
  • Experience working with government entities, including familiarity with policy making and political processes.
  • Facilitation, mediation and public involvement knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the transportation industry is also a plus, including familiarity with NEPA and other public engagement policies and procedures.

Account Manager – Nevada

Penna Powers is seeking an experienced Advertising Account Manager to be responsible for the daily contact between the agency and our clients. The position is in our Las Vegas, Nevada office.

The Account Manager will lead the development of strategic marketing plans for clients and will be responsible for executing these plans on a daily basis. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing integrated marketing programs for clients (including, but not limited to, traditional and digital media channels, direct mail, public relations, social media and SEO/PPC). The ideal candidate will also have experience managing multiple projects and possess a talent for creative problem solving under tight deadlines.

Required Tasks

  • Prepare marketing strategy documents and campaign plans for clients and inter-agency teams
  • Leading agency team meetings and conducting client meetings
  • Write strategic creative briefs and job memos to direct individual marketing efforts
  • Drive campaign creative within the agency from concept all the way to media delivery
  • Work with media team to plan media mix and audit media placements
  • Keep client marketing assets named, filed, categorized and organized
  • Assemble campaign reports and invoices for clients
  • Occasional travel to Reno and Salt Lake City

Education / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience, Advertising Agency experience required

Senior Media Relations Strategist

Penna Powers is seeking a savvy idea developer who has a knack for news angles to join our team. Ideal candidate has strategic planning capabilities, strong media relationships, track record of placements, excellent writing skills and experience planning/executing media events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide all media relations strategy, implementation and other activities for your assigned accounts.
  • Provide input on media relations planning and executions, with a particular emphasis on local media relations – media events, talking points, news advisories and releases, etc.
  • Work with account managers/team leads across all departments and within the PR department to structure media relations strategies for agency clients.
  • Participate and contribute ideas, best practices, strategies and recommendations in planning and project meetings.
  • Foster and build stronger relationships and familiarity with local, trade and national broadcast and print media for Penna Powers accounts.
  • Oversee assigned media relations managers and provide guidance, input and feedback.
  • Manage time allocation to keep within budget allocations on assigned accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years media relations experience. Agency experience, a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in securing media relations coverage in the local Salt Lake market as well as B2B and B2C coverage in trades and business press.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic communications planning.
  • Self-starter that works well in a team environment.
  • Presentation skills a plus.
